Josh Bass is a creative person who loves animation, illustration, and character design. He is pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.
He credits his autism with helping him navigate challenges. “I just basically, I can just see a creative way out of, through anything. And, truth is, that’s always something my autism has indeed widened my horizon in,” he said.
Josh graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Entertainment Arts-Illustration and Animation and had a paid internship with Disney Animation Studios. Josh shared that this was “the best experience of his life.” He learned some great computer skills and made industry connections.
Josh’s goals are supported by the Regional Center of Orange County where he is enrolled in the Self-Determination Program. Josh now puts his creative skills to work at Zavikon, a company that matches qualified candidates with disabilities or those who are neurodivergent with employers. Josh shared with us how he used vision, dedication, and heart to turn his creativity into a career. Watch his video below.
